In the Book of Esther, found in the Bible, we are met with the story of a beautiful and devoted Queen. As protector of her own people, ardent follower of God and loyal wife to her husband, Xerxes. Esther embodied womanly and spiritual perfection. However, there was another woman that wore the crown before Esther. Her name was Vashti. A simple refusal dethroned Vashti and she was wrongly accused of being defiant, uncontrollable, intolerable, and subsequently banished because of it.
